The Procedure Contraindications

 

 

 

 

The LASIK procedure explained    (click on images to enlarge)

1.  A suction ring is applied to the surface of the eye and a flap is created using a microkeratome

 

2.  The corneal flap is lifted up while remaining hinged

3.  The excimer laser is used to reshape the surface of the cornea

 

4. The protective flap is folded back in place

 

5. The flap bonds with the eye and the procedure is complete
