Alcon AcrySof ReSTOR Accommodative Intraocular Lens The AcrySof ReSTOR lens represents breakthrough technology, delivering consistent, high quality pseudoaccommodative vision across the entire visual spectrum due to the unique and innovative optics of the lens. Mr Paul Rosen, who carries out surgery in our Practice, has become one of the first ophthalmic surgeons in the UK who is trained to implant the ReSTOR accommodative intraocular lens, which achieves highly-predictable visual acuity results. This foldable intraocular lens is made of the same highly-biocompatible acrylic material as Alcon's AcrySof family of IOLs, which have been implanted in more than 17 million human eyes since 1991. Clinical data has demonstrated the ability of the ReSTOR foldable lens to substantially restore the patient's ability to see both near and distance without correction. The range of accommodative effect and predictability of this lens will be of life-changing benefit to patients and enable them to reduce their dependency on glasses or contact lenses. / Contact / Site Map / Our People / Eye Conditions / Links / Cataract Surgery / Refractive Surgery / Clear Lens Surgery / Macular Degeneration / News Page last updated on Saturday, 25 June 2005 12:36:20 |
