Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) Array Multifocal Intraocular Lens The AMO Array Multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) was designed to provide a full range of vision. It is used in implant procedures worldwide and is a breakthrough in lens implant surgery as, until fairly recently, most of these procedures involved the exchange of the natural lens in the eye for a monofocal (single vision) lens. The Array works through a series of five optical zones which mimic the eye's natural ability to provide near, intermediate and distance vision. While distance vision with the Array Multifocal IOL gives similar vision to that of a single vision monofocal lens, near vision is, in most cases, much better. Approximately 95% of patients with the Array need to wear glasses only occasionally or never. / Contact / Site Map / Our People / Eye Conditions / Links / Cataracts / Refractive Surgery / The Eye Explained / News
